~July 4th Treat, Refinished Table, Sunset and Simple & Sweet Fridays #225 ~

White chocolate with edible flowers make a special
July 4th Treat.
I picked edible flowers from our garden.
I used bachelor button flowers,
also known as cornflower.
I used the petals from our red roses.
I washed them off and dried them on paper towels.
I melted the white chocolate and put it on some parchment paper.
Then, added the flowers all over and
placed it in the refrigerator to set up.
White chocolate with edible flowers,
a simple treat for July 4th!
A table that was given to me from my mother and father needed a
bit of refinishing. Stan took on the job.
He stripped, sanded, stained and sealed it.
It looks brand-new now!
Looking forward to enjoying it this summer!
By the way, the weather last week in San Diego was in the 100's.
It was so hot!
But, the sunsets were just gorgeous!

Looking forward to all your inspiring projects this week!

~Stamped Silverware, Apples & Roses and Simple & Sweet Fridays #224~

I love to stamp just about everything.
Wooden silverware stamped blue,
was an idea for 4th of July this year.
With some red,
 the colors just POP together!
Just like fireworks for the 4th.
I've had the wooden utensils for awhile now.
I'm sure you can find them easily online.
Maybe with some paper plates and
we're ready to head to the beach,
 for a picnic!
Apples from the garden just picked.
Here's the recipe from Ina Garten

I roasted a couple of chickens this weekend with rosemary.
I love using fresh herbs from the garden.
Fresh pasta to complete the dinner.
I wanted to share with you our roses over the garage.
~Cecile Brunner Rose~
Roses just beginning to bloom.

Practicing calligraphy!

Hope you all had a great week!
I can't to see what you've been working on!!
