~Queen Anne's Lace and Simple & Sweet Fridays #217~

I love growing Queen Anne's Lace
in the garden.
I press the flowers to use on presents or just in a pretty bouquet.
I went out into the garden to pick some artichokes for dinner
and saw our Queen Anne's Lace in bloom.

Drying them in between paper with something heavy on top,
will press them down.
They look so pretty and delicate.
Little clusters of white on their stems.

One of my favorites in the garden!!
We had some pizzelle cookies for dessert.
They remind me of Queen Anne's Lace.

~My New Queen Bee Pillow & Treats for the Birds~

When Stan and I went to
Washington's Flower & Garden Show in February,
I found this burlap Queen Bee pillow.
It's a perfect fit for my outdoor bench.
I might have to make some more outdoor pillows in burlap,
this one is too cute!
I noticed the birds were hungry today
 so, I made them a
heart treat!
I carved out the apples with a heart cookie cutter.
And then filled them with bird seeds.
My first customer!
Beautiful day in the garden.
Birds were everywhere!
We also had a surprise visitor,
a baby rabbit.
Mama rabbit showed her the way home!
Up the stairs to the garden!

~Crystallized Edible Flowers & Simple & Sweet Fridays #216~

I've been wanting to make some
crystallized edible flowers!
My flowers were in bloom and I wanted to take advantage.

I just used egg whites and super fine sugar.
Here is one recipe from Martha Stewart

Decorating a chocolate bar makes a special treat!
Lots of ideas on Pinterest!!
Have fun making some pretty desserts with them!!
